About the Inn — A Bed and Breakfast near Staunton, Virginia
MeadowCroft Farm has been a working family farm for 7 generations. Located just outside of Staunton, Virginia in the rural community of Swoope (pronounced Swope). It is named after Jacob Swoope, the first mayor of Staunton and a land developer in the late 1700s.
MeadowCroft Farm is situated in southwestern Augusta County, in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We are just a short five-mile drive from the Interstate I-81 and I-64 Staunton bypass.
The farm, owned by Bill and Judie Croft, dates back to the mid-1700s. It is a diversified operation consisting of beef cattle, sheep, as well as crops, such as corn and fescue for hay.
In 1998, a facility referred to as “The Pickle Factory” was added to the farm. Today, 60+ all-natural products labeled under MeadowCroft Farm brand Heirloom Pickles – Relishes – Fruit Jams – Pepper Jellies and Salsas are distributed across the US.
